Cleaned TB, now car won't start

I'm not sure why my car won't start after I cleaned the throttle body. I put everything back together that I took apart. The only thing I can think of is that I may sprayed some carb cleaner behind the throttle plate...did I mess up?
Other than that, some carb cleaner may have landed on the starter but this shouldn't be an issue. I've only owned this car one month and it has had trouble starting the first crank every so often...which could be the starter. by the way, the engine cranks... just doesn't turn over. Is this purely coincidential or did I do something wrong? Thanks to anyone with insights.

I get allot of spray into the TB when I clean mine, It just takes an extra second to start. I think your problem is elsewhere.

Pull the hose off your fuel filter and have some crank the car, make sure it it getting fuel first.

While starting the car pump that gas pedal a few times. The car needs some fuel.

Ok it finally started after some cranking this morning. Pumping the gas pedal apparently helped. Thanks to all who replied!

I don't think it's high idle RPM, maybe just was low because of the fouled TB, and now it's freed up.

Unforturnately, you can't clean the throttlebody like you can clean a carb (with the car running). There is a build up of throttlebody cleaner that needs to burn off before the car will run smoothly. It's nothing to be afraid of.

well im posting this for the 5 time already lol, but i cleaned my throttle body also this weekend, and i actualy tok off my throttle body and i took off the plate also so i did a preaty good deep clean but i didn't have any problems after that i just had to adjust the throttle cables and it worked fine. maybe u didnt plug something up right. that is the onely thing i can think off, i think there are like 3 plugs that connect to the throttle body including the mass airflow sensor. im preaty sure it could be one of ur vacume or air hoses are disconected or they are not connected right, there is one hose that goes from the bottom of ur throttle body to the top and there are 2 coolant hoses towords the bottom and maybe 1 or 2 more that i can't remember.

When I cleaned my throttle body last month, I got too much cleaner inside and it fouled out the plugs. It started, then died. I replaced the plugs and it started right up. Make sure if you ever replace plugs, use NGK laser platinums or v power coppers.
