Removing Outer Door Handles

I purchased chrome outer door handles.

I got the front two, two weeks ago and I got the rear two today. I was going to go and install them in 15 degree weather (I'm psychotic).

Took the door panel off and then I just couldn't figure out how to get the friggin thing out. It's really up there!

Is there something I'm missing? Is it impossible?

Thanks
Andrew

i had a friend take mine out but from what i saw you take the poles out of the clip, remove the two nuts that secure it, and slide it out from the outside.

:o)

It was the one thing I couldn't figure out for the life of me. I just gave up and had the body shop who was going to be painting them anyway take them out. I was just trying to save on labor by taking them out myself. Sorry I can't help. I can fax you the FSM pages if you don't have them (I didn't have the FSM yet when I tried).

Why in G.'s green earth would you want to add chrome to your car?! I have spent hundreds getting rid of all my chrome. :I Good luck.

on the back you have to take the whole latch assembly out because one of the nuts are hidden.

open the door and look for a couple screws around the latch assembly.
