hanabai h.I.d.'s suck ***!!

I bought a pair of hanabi 8000k h.I.d.'s not even a year ago. My left ballast blew on me twice I don't know if its bad luck or its just hanabi. Now there telling me they can't get another ballast for me . So if anybody has a ballast or maybe a website so I could get another ballast ill appreciate it . Thank you. Can I use a different brand ballast on these garbage h.I.d's..??

phllips ballast are the best.

i have had my HID kit for near 4 years now maybe even more. and i never had a problem with them.

phllip sdoes not make a 9004 kit but there is a company here in so cali that fabricates 9004 hid kits from phllips ballasts

i believe its called pacific micro lite.

did you touch the glass of the bulb when u install them? if you did, don't handle the glass part of the bulb with your hand, because your hand is oil-ish, it'll mis-conduct the current of the voltage, which will cause the bulb to blow out.

same thing happen to me. bought the hanabi 8000k over a year ago and the ballast went out appearently.. i talked to freddie and he is suppose to getting me another ballast. i already sent the money. so now im just waiting to get the ballast back to see if that fixes it. for how long is the question. i heard more than one or two three hanabi users having ballasts go out. then i read some where that freddies supplier went out of buisness.

im waiting till i get my ballast back before i post my final words about hanabis. i loved them while they worked but 150.00 a pop for a ballast that went out after the warranty sux.

I;ve had my HID for about 3 months with no problems except for the colors are a slight shade of difference on warm up. At full temp they are the same. I guess they are still in the break in period. BTW, you should wrap your ballasts in air permeable foam or something. I did that as it was recommended on the HID forum and I really think it helps keep out moisture!

My HID kit stop functioning about a week ago. I have the Korean/Taiwanese brand from Redlinemax and it should be under warranty. I contacted her but she's having trouble with HIDs in NY right now. I isolated the problem to be a bad starter. Anyone know a place that would sell replacement parts for these HID kits?

They should work, since they look like the ones that came originally with the Hanabi kit.

Actually this ballast / ignitor should work better than the one that the kit comes with. http://www.globalpremier.com/X5_9000...ballastall.JPG

If you do touch the bulb I think you need to clean it with rubbing alcohol......
