I'll throw you my two cents. I bought a SPEC stage 3 clutch for a car with only an intake. I've had the clutch on for about 8000 miles, and my master cylinder blew. It probably was just bound to go because it has never been replaced, but the clutch is a pretty good reason for it to go bad. Stick with a stage one unless you're gonna get some heavy mods. I loved my clutch before this happened, but I think i'm gonna downgrade to stage one or two disc, and possibly stock pressure plate. And my two cents..

I've been thinking of going the 5th gen clutch for my 97. Probably just go to the dealer and get it done. First, have you got a list of part #'s. Clutch, and throw out bearing and think there's one more thing. Also, bout how much did it cost? If you had it done at the dealer, did he give you a hassle about putting in 5th gen clutch in a 4th gen? Cheers
