The silver max conv by hotmax is actually pretty sweeet!

Don't make the mistake of simply chooping the rear doors off and reducing the wheelbade by 2'. That's not how it works. You'd convert it to a 2-door but those doors woudl be 50% longer and the space where the rear doors used to be would be 50% shorter, but solid metal.

PLus you need to crossbrace the chassis with huge subframe connectors to make up for the loss of rigidity that the roof provided. Imagine a shoebox - how rigid is it with the top on, then the top off...

If done correctly I don't think it would look half bad - and the longer trunk means that once you have taken up room for the roof mechanism you may actually still have some usable trunk space!
