I see according to that tint page its...
30% on the front and rear door windows & any percentage on the rear window....
From what I've heard/noticed is the rear door (or rear windows on 2-doors) they dont really bother you no matter what you get..........
whats the max u've done on teh front windows without getting bothered....

Laws Smaws
I played it safe and got 35% in front and 20% in rear. I know people that have gotten darker than that and haven't gotten hassled. 35% is too light for me though. Should have gotten 20% all around.

hey...
Where did you go to look up the tint law for NY?
According to http://www.tintdude.com , Any kind of tint on front or rear doors is illegal (70% is legal, but thats probably factory tint). You can tint the rear as dark as you want though..
I went ahead and got 20% all around.... Its dark as hell most of the time, you can barely see through it in the daytime, at night.. forget about it, Jet black. I was thinking between 35% and 20% but looked at my friends dark green Camry with gray cloth like me, and his 35% is very see through during the day, like clee said.. I would say go with 20%,
I'd only do 35% if I had a black car with black interior.
So far, in the 2 months I had the tint, I didn't get bothered about it once. *knocks on wood* I ran into a check point once and the cop looked at it, told me to roll down my windows but didn't say a thing... whew.
If you are gonna break the law, do it in style.

yeah
i got 20% tint allaround and almonst half of the winsheid and i haven' t been bothered. i think i should have gotten 15% or 5% all around, it looks great when the car and windows are clean. i say this because i have a friend that has %5 and has been pulled over for moving violations but never been summoned for his tints.

I am going to get 20% all around.. i like the even look.. my interior is black too so that will darken it.. when the front is 35% its too light and almost defeats the purpose. On my old car i had 15% all around and my interior was dark also and in the year i had the tints on before i sold it i was never bothered.. actually in some cases people will get pulled over and the cop is nice and gives them a ticket for the tints instead of what they were pulled over for..
