Front end speaker change Problem...

Ok so I just finished trying to change my stock 5 1/4" front end speakers without success. I got to the speakers fine, and i took the speakers out just fine, but the way that they were connected is hard to described. Its like the wires that connected to the speaker were joined by this plug that then clicked into the speaker for connection, and the speakers that I was going to replace them by, didnt have that slot for the connection that already existed in stock speakers. I dont know what do do now, my driver side speaker is blown and it sounds horrible! Any help?

If you have a BOSE system you can't put any speaker in there you must use a BOSE compatible speaker.

It would be a lot easier if we knew what year car you had. There is also an AUDIO forum where this thread is more suited.

you could just cut that connector off and get two connectors for your new speakers and attach the wires through connectors or welded on the speaker i guess ither one should do........
