Strut bearing crushed.

For those of you that are lowered, how do you prevent your front strut bearings from getting crushed.

I took out my suspension today and noticed that my strut bearing was squashed like a pancake. Meanwhile the upper lid of the strut mount seemed to be worn in a couple spots from rubbing against the frame of the car.

Any ideas? I know these things are under a lot more pressure due to aftermarket springs, but I dont' want to have to continue to tear up my suspension and replace these things all the time.

Did you put in new bearings when you lowered your car?

You most likely put them in upside down or you hit your bump stops very hard from time to time.

Yeah I guess you guys are right. i'm thinking the passenger side just got more abuse and the bearing just gave up after time.
