Another Maxima with a y-pipe!!!

All I can say is wow!!! The car feels much different all the way through the rpm range!!! Now I know why everyone on here talks about getting a y-pipe before anything else because this is a mod you can actually feel. To anyone out there thinking about getting a y-pipe trust me you wont be dissapointed!!! What did you guys do with your old y-pipe? Is there anyway to sell it?

sure you can sell it, but you wont get much out of it. IMO, just throw it in your garage, you'll never know when you'll need it.

I cant promise you that I will be able to get a sound clip but ill try. As for the change in exhaust tone its very minimal and hardly noticeable by others.

I'm glad you said this before I asked. I wanted to get a y-pipe because its ht ebest bang for the buck mod, but I'm very hesitant due to the noise. I plan to leave my sotck muffler on. How different is the noise really? Is it really noticeable, or nto at all. I have an intake and I htink thats too much noise for me sometimes. Also, what brand y-pipe did u get? Congrats and enjoy!

I got the cattman cali. spec. y-pipe. The only real difference in the exhaust tone now is that you can hear the individual cylinders fireing. Its only noticeable if you listen for it.

I never noticed anything except when at very low RPM. And even then, it only adds a slight grumble to the exhaust note.
