Painting my springs...

I just bought Progress Springs, but the color they came in is this ugly aqua type color. I am having them installed this saturday and I was wondering if I could paint them a different color before I get them installed. Is there anyway to paint them so the paint wont start coming off anytime soon and so they will look good.
Thanks
Andy

Its totally useless to do. You will never see them, plus in about a month of normal driving through rain and what not they will be pretty much black.

It is pointless to paint them but it is anoying that they are so ugly. They could at least be black or red. You won't see except when you jack it up.
