Don't know about your state but in Florida they'll pull you over for driving with red or blue neons attached to your car... They make you rip it out on the side of the road too... Seen it happen.

I'm still debating between getting neon tube vs LED, as I understand LED's last longer and can take more "bumps" along the road

i think for most states, you cannot have any lighted ornaments such as nozzle lights, blue/green/red side markers, under neons, strobes, etc...
i wouldn't turn on the neons while driving, it's not worth it to deal with the cops.. not in a million years, anyone else agree?

Red and blue are reserved for civil servants such as police, ambulances, and fire trucks. If a civilian is caught driving around with ANY red and/or blue lights affixed to ANY part of their car it is almost the same as impersontaion of a police officer. Here in Florida they pull you over, ticket you, and make you physically remove the lights right there on the side of the road.

This includes neons under OR IN the automobile, those windshield washer LEDs, the valve stem LEDs, or lighted muffler tips. Anything illuminated red or blue will get you fined and they'll make you destroy the lights there on the spot? Still worth it?

I even saw a Honda Prelude with Red underneons and whenever he hit the brakes, the red underneons would turn on too, I thought it looked "alright". But you can just tell that that would catch a cop's eye

theyre pretty much illegel in every state, but i've driven past many cops and never been pulled over before. and thats a suprise, cause here in beverly hill the cops have nothing better to do than pull people over. as far as being able to see the tube.....yeah you could see it if you stand like 10 feet away, but thats why you have to put BLACK duct tape to cover it. DO NOT use electrical tape!! i've had mine on for over 9 months and i've never broken any tubes......i drive pretty aggressively too.

legal in nebraska if not blue or red.

if i ever did it i'd set it up so when i put it in park they would turn on. and then have a seperate switch to turn them on or off.

Hey guys sorry, I've been busy workin on getting it finished as for the back i dont have it done yet i drilled the holes to the bumper(aluminum metal one) but no it wont stick down. I wired in the front and the sides last night and i will post a new thread with the pics on sunday. Im still in highschool and I am a wrestler so i have districts this weekend and wont be home untill sunday. sorry for taking so long to reply. The sides do stick down and you can see them but only from like 20 feet away. Im really pleased with the front though. It is illegal in washington and is like a $500 dollar fine for impercinating a public offical, but thats only if you drive with them on, so i just wont drive around, welll maybe sometimes.

ummm......i think you could do that. i could have wired it up so that when i park my car and lock my door from my key fob they flash twice.......and i have a switch in the car so i could turn them on and off when ever i want.

i wouldnt recommend using them when its raining or if the tube is frozen solid. although i have used it when raning once and nothing happened......i still wouldnt take the risk of doing it all the time.
