Lots of talk about replacement bulbs for fog lights and who makes the best. I remember going to one thread where a Philips H-3 Blue Vision was listed. That got me wondering. I searched the net and came up with zip, even the Philips site. So, I emailed them. Philips emailed me back telling me that they did indeed make H-3 BV's but they were Europe only BUT they gave me a company's name and number to call here in the States. AAMSCO @ 1-800-669-9137. Called this morning and they confirmed that there is a Philips H-3 BV but it is "proprietary" and only installed as OEM in European vehicles. Hmmmmmmm. Anybody else have a lead on this one? I'd be interested in the BV H-3 if I could only find one.

Great! Knew that someone out there would have the info. Checked them out, $35 a pair is very reasonable. How do they work????

actually, i'm putting them in tonight after work. I had heard a lot of good things about them, and i'm tired of the countless problems that i've had with the PIAA H3 superwhites. Seems they blew about everyother month, and at about $25 dollars a pop.. well, you do the math! Anyways, I'll let you know how when I find for myself!
Hope the results will be what I'm looking for.

sorry for the confusion redmax, I was referring to the PIAA superwhites.. at $25 a piece, when the PIAA H3's started to blow about every other month.. well it started to get a little pricey... therefore, Philips BV here I come.... and yes, I paid $35 for the pair plus I think $3 for shipping.... under $40 shipped... not bad....

ps. I really like the red on a max... haven't seen too many... nice stuff!

Please let us know how the bulbs work out. I am after a whiter brighter light and I have been literally "burned" by some of those other bulbs out there (replaced headlight socket). Another brand I bought burnt out in about a month and a half. Thanks

Jeff

Let me know when you get the indigo guages on. I want to see what they look like. I'm still waiting for the body shop to call me to tell me that my front lip is done.

okay, after installing one of the BV's I was impressed with the change over stock halogen's (since I reinstalled stock bulbs after all the PROBLEMS i had with PIAA Superwhites constantly buring out) In short, the BV's are much, much whiter than the halogen's, with little yellow tint whatsoever (wish i had a dig. camera....as i would post pics.) but in my mind, they are quite equivalent to the light output of the PIAA Superwhite H3's (minus the purple tint). On my way to work this morning I got a chance to try them out. Everthing just seemed a little more clear in the foreground in front of the car with the BV's. I'm curious to see how they do in weather though..... and may have a chance to check that out today! Defintely a good find if they last longer than what i've been dealing with! to sum it up... I'm happy with the results so far..

Redmax,
How did the BV H3s work out? Is there a "real" improvement over stock? BTW, if you are interested in lighting you might want to replace your corner lights with some a bit brighter. I noticed that my stock ones seem "brown", kind of dull. Ordered a set of Eurolight Crystal Whites from AIE and there is a a big difference. The bulbs are actually blue in color so when they are installed there is a blue color to your corners but when on they are white. Just a thought.

Yes, there is an inmprovment over the stock... not too much. I plan on replacing the corner bulbs soon... total uniformity in the front..

I put the 9004 Phillips BV in last night. I think people who are looking for a 'superwhite' look will be dissapointed. I took some pics, but I need to have my friend upload them.
