How long does it take for the ecu to adjust to everything?

I got the infamous 0707 rear 02 senor ( nissan code P0136 ) It says its bank 1 senor 2 that is causing the light. Now I know there are others that get this light, but i dont know why it shows up. Can someone please explain.

It may take some time to adjust for every day driving, but wide open throttle power will not change. At WOT, no adjustmet period is necessary.

It shows up because the pin placement is different on 96 than it is on 97 maximas. the ecu is getting the signal from some other sensor (or no sensor at all) because the wire/pin is in an entirely different place. That's how I understand it.
