You got it backwards, but I think they started calling it sunlit sand earlier than 2000

Yes I spend about 20 minutes cleaning each wheel. They are really hard to clean because you can see all the inside of the wheel, so I must clean it all the time, and wax them 1 a month

The 99 model was the first year they called it "Sunlit Sand".
