Gas mileage

I don't see how you would be able to get 400 on a tank in the city. Maybe on the highway, but not in the city.
On avg. I get 20-21 mpg in the city, and a few better on the highway. Typically, I can get about 360-365 on a tank with a little highway driving and some short trips, but mostly in-town stuff.
The good thing is that you get about the same amount of gas mileage no matter how you drive it. I still get that it town even if I am pretty much punching it all the time. It is awesome and too much fun!

Thats weird brudaddy... because I thought mine sucked gas when I punched it and my friend confirmed it by commenting on the guzzling without my prodding. Maybe two different engines?? haha
Mine does have 150k so that might affect it.

My max has 215,000 miles on it and I get about 375 to 400 on a tank.I drive at least 500-600 miles a week at my job so I have check it many times. We are talking a lot of stop and go traffic so this is with getting in the throttle every now and then.Man these cars are great, you get to spank a few mustangs and still get 25mpg. It's the best of both worlds!

i get at least 350 miles on a tank and that is driving in downtown houston all the time. the worst gas mileage i ever got was like 19 and the best was 33. I got both these numbers after putting the y-pipe, cat, and intake on. I got 33 on a highway trip w/ the cruz on 70 and i got 19 when i drove in downtown the week after my y-pipe was on. if i am on the highway taking a trip my car is good for over 400 miles per tank.

Can anyone answer this?
I have 126K miles on my max and I used to get 320 - 330 per tank. This was before my CEL started throwing codes at me at about 124K. First the knock sensor (replaced it), then the rear O2 sensor (replaced it), and then the boost sensor (0803). I read a post about the 0803 code and it said to take off the IACV and clean it out. As soon as I took it off I could see that it was all gunked up, so I cleaned it with throttle body cleaner and put it back on. Since then I've been getting 370 - 385 per tank with no difference in my driving habits. Does the IACV have that kind of effect on mileage? Or was it one of the other parts that I replaced?
I still have the 0803 code and it turns out that service department at the dealership I took it to (Rt. 40 Nissan, MD), did not put the intake plenum back on properly when they worked on my car and air was being sucked in through the gasket. Hopefully after they replace the gasket my code will clear becasue I think that code was caused by that and not the boost sensor being faulty.

expensive gases DO NOT make ur gas mileage better, thats a crock of ****. every car/driver drives differently through any gas tank, you will never have the same gas mileage through 2 tanks of gas, regardless of the gas u use

I think 28mpg is pretty sweet. Especially when that's from driving reg + getting on it from time to time.
Uhh...What do you mean by way too rich ? From my knowledge it's better to have the highest octane you can get on an n/a car to avoid detonation and such ( people i know running 12:1 cr hondas ). And doesn't japan have like 95 octane ?
#24
I guess what I meant is that it is a waste. If it will already not detonate with 87 or even 91 octane, why would you go further and say that it will not detonate even better at 94+? It is just a waste...that is all. I am sure that some people in Japan are using 95 octane, but it is a waste on a N/a car that already doesn't detonate on 87 octane. You get my drift?

YES! another gas mileage thread! =o)
i get on average between 280-300 miles on the tank. The level of octane does not effect gas mileage, however, i believe keeping the max on premium prevents knock and saves your knock sensor as well. '
for those with ****.ty gas mileage, i suggest to check FAQ's which could give you ideas why your getting what your getting. Another reason would include the knock sensor as well.
