I need to replace the plugs in my max. I refuse to spend $12 for the double platinums. I have heard coppers are ok, just need to be replaced twice as often.

My local auto parts store has two kinds of NGK plugs. The first is a standard plug #2382. The other is the "G Power", which is a platinum #7090. NGK's website says that the G Power plug is better than the copper ones recommended by others on this site. Is this true? Would these plugs be fine? Any information is appreciated. Thanks

I just bought mine 3 weeks ago. If I'm not mistaken the number is 5638 for them. Just ask for plugs for a 97 Altima its the same as the above number, problem is that for stock purposes, they use a 4 digit number.

The number and link up top is the same as the ones I have.

 

Might take a couple weeks of looking, but I got NGK plats on ebay for $4 each.

 

I got mine from Courtesynissan for about 9bucks...

 

yeah go for teh coppers, the BKR5E-11's the ones Jatan mentioned, i used them in my car back in november, they work perfectly fine, not a bit of trouble, just ask them for the 4 digit, or the NGK BKR number, dont let them give you coppers listed in the computer from another brand.
