wtf

Im used to 95-98s for resetting the ECU, but when I went to reset mine (99), I put the screwdriver in, and it kept going in. I looked in there and felt a lot of room, there wasnt a slot to reset it. I dont know if i pushed it back or what.... Am I fuked now?

Its either i fix this or I pay $90 to reset the ecu

Chase calm down! The 99s still have the screw but it is about the size of a pinhead and it is in there. You need a really tiny screw driver and lots of patience. I broke mine off cause I didnt know what was in there.

Do you have a CEL or something?

Depends on what the problem is There is different kinds of errors that the ECU sends out. Soft codes and hard codes or something like that,

Normally it is battery disconnected for 24 hours. Or 24 or something cold starts resets it.

Is the screw far back? How do you reset the ECU now?

I have a CEL cause I unplugged something (Drop resistor) to ruin the tranny faster, and also I installed my intake.

get down there with a little mirror and flashlight and see if you can see it. It is small!!! hopefully you didnt snap it off like I did mine. If you did......SOL.

my light turned off in about 2 weeks, which im sure yours will to, as nothing is actully not functioning properly on your car, just a change to the ECU.
