Magnaflow Mufflers

I am ordering a b pipe and magnaflow muffler from budget exhaust. I just wanted to know if the dual tip mufflers, the street series 14862 muffler would look right on the 96 max. If not do you guy's have any suggestions? You guys have any pics of 95-96 maxima's with dual tip exhaust's? Also it is probrably too late but should i have gotten a b-pipe w/o a resonator or with (I ordered it with)? Lastly I have to weld the muffler onto the exhaust right, what shop's in new jersey can do this? Thanks alot, sorry for all the questions i just want to do this right.

b-pipe is bolt on. magnaflow muffler u'll need to bring it to a muffler shop and have them weld it on for you. probably cost $40 or so.

dual exhaust is a waste of money. it's only for show. save up your money get intake y-pipe underdrive pulley and other basic bolt-on first then get dual exhaust if you want to.

here's some pic of my magnaflow 14829 street series. nice, clean, and quiet

Thanks for your help but I didn't mean dual exhaust just the dual tipped magnaflow muffler. By the way I have all the bolt-on's except chip and MEVI.

Its going to be loud assuming you have a y-pipe either way, but it's definatly a good thing that you ordered the b-pipe with a resonator. IMO a single tip looks best on the 4th gen max. I went with the 14829, looks great IMO.

Do you have a stock bumper? In order to fit the dual tips, you'd either need to modify the bumper, or mount the muffler lower and reduce ground clearance.
By the way, I love my Magnaflow!

id really like to hear the sound clip dmbk, ive been considering that setup for a deep sound. But is it enough to cover the rice sound of the y-pipe?

im just curious, does the y pipe and b pipe change the sound of the muffler or does it just make it louder?

If anyone has just a soundclip of the magnaflow alone, that would be good.

My Magnaflow sounds really throaty, deep, and mean from about 2000-2700 RPM when under load. Below 2000 it's relatively quiet, and above 3000 all I hear is intake! At any RPM the car sounds nice though. Never too boomy and never at all ricey.

I second that idea!! I was thinking about gettin a y pipe for my 98 Max SE, but was afraid of the raspy sound that could result. (Keep in mind, all I'd be gettin in the near term would be the y pipe due to near complete fund depletion. lol!) You guys say that a Magna will not have that ricey noise? I'd def like to hear a clip. Thanks!!

I'm tired of my setup because my universal 3A oval is about dead. A sound clip of the Magna would be incredible.

magnaflow doesn't make b-pipe, and it is universal muffler which needs to be welded through your local muffler shop. here's how the maxima exhaust system looks like:

the y-pipe bolt on to the header and cat, not the b-pipe.

I was thinking about getting a b-pipe and I have heard good things about budget but I went to their website and did not see any prices for the 1996 b-pipe. I was wondering how much it would cost with shipping? Thanks in advanced

Budget doesn't have an on-line ordering system. I wish they did but they don't. So give 'em a call. The price depends on the exchange rate on the day you buy it. Shipping is only $20-30 and I'm guessing the B is $190-$290.
