I was looking into it, I also have the same problem. In the FSM it says they have there own fuse, the door lights are ground driven, so they are laways hot, I have yet to find the inline fuse tho...

I don't think is a fuse problem, I had the same problem with my door light. This happened like the first week I got my car out of the dealership. I changed the bulb to Xenon White bulb and after putting the bulb in the passanger door light would not go on. So I cheked the Fuse and everything look good. I made a appointment with the dealer ship took the car for repair. I am not sure what it called, but it was a Black Box rectengular shape, the mechanic said it cost about 80 bucks, that went bad, it was like some type of relay something like that. Just go to the dealer ship and ask for relay in the door for the light. they would print a map and tell you what it is. I don't know how much help i can be. Good luck.

I had the same problem one month ago. I was installing an LED in the door and when I was the LED blew so i put back the original bulb and nothing. I tried two brand new bulbs not LED's and still nothing. I installed an LED in the passenger door and it works fine. I dunno what the problem is. Where is that little black box located?

Yes you are right about that, the mechanic told me that is what caused the light not to go on? there was an short in it. mine was working but somethimes it would not role the windows down or up.

i have the same problem. i took the door panel off and i tested it with a power tester thing. and it was still getting power but the ground got messed up. i think by using a screw driver it messed up the ground. i dont know how but i think thats what happens. one of thse days when im bored im goin to cut the wire and relocate the ground.

i'll check the FSM again, but it showed an inline fuse straight to the battery, and it was turned on/off by ground via the door switch

This is what I did when I changed my light. Opened the door, held the door pin in so the lights had no power going to them, switched the buld, and then let go. Simple and this way the buld isn't that hot when you take it out.

My door light is not working either...I was installing a led light in my door, and spliced into the door light. After that the door light doesn't work, and the led bulb lights up very dim. I then attached a wire to ground and to the negative side of the bulb and it lights up bright! So what do I have to do to fix this?

why don't you just borrow a friend's window switch and plug it in...if the door light turns on then problem solved...go get yourself one at the junkyard...i had the same problem and mine work now...if it doesn't help after trying another switch..then look for another solution from there..

It's giving me a wierd voltage too. After screwing it up the socket runs 12v when the door is closed, but only enough amperage to light up the LED’s very faintly, and 8v with the door is open. As apposed to 0 when closed and 12 when open.
