Problem installing FSTB!

Guys, I am having a problem installing my FSTB. There is a this metal bracket right next to the strut bolts on the drivers side. It will not let my FSTB sit all the way down flush with the car. I think it might have been something that my stock airbox was attached too. Did anyone else have this problem, what did you do?
Thanks,
Andy

Everyone else, but me apparently had this problem. Cut it off. Use a saw, dremel, whatever. It doesnt serve any purpose. So get to hacking.

That piece is also on the 2000s, so you got a late model 99 with that same piece. a 5th gen FSTB will fit your car just fine as well.

see this thread too...I have 99.5 and had the same problem with FSTB. Maxandy, it should help you save some time when doing it. Don't use dremmel...will take too long and make a mess! There is too much to cut through:
