ok...so i got pulled over and had to go through alot of trouble to get rid of my blue parking lights (which looked sweeeet) and my tints...(apparently mine was 22%) but anyways....i bought the super white parking bulb (1157) but now i have a problem....or at least im confused. when i install it the correct way, the light is really dull...not so bright as i expected from the cover...but if i put it in so that it doesn't fit in right (since on the bulb there are two metal bulge, one low and one high...................do you guys know what im talkin about?) it is really bright white light which i like. what im wondering is....does anyone know if this will melt my connectors? or mess up my fuse or wiring of anything? i had to tape it together with electrical tape. im also afraid it might be melting my corner lenses.

The 1157 is a dual filament bulb, one 8 watts and one 27 watts. On the 95-96 the parking lights power the 8 watt filament, a dull/dim light. When the turnsignal is activated the same bulb gets power to the 27 watt fialment, bright and white. This is the cleararance light or cornering light. What you are doing is making the parking lights power the cornering light by turning the bulb around. This, actally, is popular mod and wont damage anything. Many cut one of the tabs on the bulb or rewire the sockets to keep the bright 27 watt filament on with the parking lights.
