Hello .. Newbie here

Hi all .. well I am now the proud owner of a 95' Nissan Maxima GLE as of today !! All insured and registered !

And now for the questions !!

1. Leather E- Brake Boots ? This needs to be replaced and I would prefer leather. I noticed custommaxima.com only carries them in black. Does anyone know of place that sells them in Brown Leather ?

If not leather maybe just a place that has them in OEM color ?

Thanks in advance for all the leads on this part...

Welcome to the .org!

You might be able to find one of those ebrake boots that you are wanting in the classified forums here on the .org from another member. Just look around.

Enjoy.

NUEB - Check the Group Deals Forum for good prices on them in all sorts of colors.

Your best bet is to spend time and try to learn as much about the .org as possible. There's a heck of alot of information about anything and everything max related on this site. Enjoy the 95 GXE.

Welcome to the .org

You won't find an exact match for that brown e-brake boot...welcome to the world of the "tan" interior!

Dealer will charge a lot for a new one, so your best bet is to just get a used OEM. Poke around ebay, a lot of guys are parting out maxima's, but only list a few parts. Fire them an email and ask if they will sell the e-brake boot. Good luck!

I guess you didn't read my previous reply???

First of all redlinegoods.com's color chart is worthless, so I hope you didn't go by that in desciding your color!

Here is a picture of their "tan" compared to the stock brown color:
http://www.geocities.com/chef1017/maxima/boot

I talked to the owner of redline goods (maceik?) and he assured me that nothing he has will match the stock color.

Well, good luck.

MadChef I did read your reply and I took into account (from research) most of these places won't have an exact match to the OEM color.. as you stated The world of tan interior ...

From reading his descriptions I decided to go with the brown, because he claimed it was similiar to a football leather brown, and since the boot is more brown than tan .. I chose that. I did however opt for the Tan stiching.

Thanks for you input it was helpful.

So far this site has been extremly helpful has helped me figure out a bunch of things with Maxima today .. I keep running outside and checking this or that .. LOL .. My wife thinks I am nuts .. Even took a ride to the car wash at 10:30 pm ..

Does anyone know anything about Factory Match Dash Kits ? The car came with some wood dash in it already and I would like to finish it off..

welcome to the org crosse!! my advice is to use some common sense before posting things. this forum especially has been overrun with people whoask questions that can easily be answered in the FAQs and how-tos. in any case, have fun!!

u could always get one custom made from an aphoustly (i spelled that wrong) shop. when my dad built his cobra, he got all his boots custom made. it was black but i remember looking thru the books and seeing lots of other colors.

u can search e-bay for wood dash kits it's a full kit so u might have to remove yours and do the whole thing because it's won't match correctly..... but than again if u will emove the old parts of a kit u might go with cf or chrome instead of wood unless u really like the wood kit good luck in deciding....

Thanks .. I was looking on ebay but i got confusedidide. I was hoping someone made a match to the exsisting wood so you would only have to buy a few pieces.

But if i have to change what is there i might not do it after all...
