still cant install my y-pipe

still cant install my y-pipe, bolts were completely stripped down to the thread, so i dremeled around to see if i could vise grip it off, stud broke, so i grinded it so that i could drill it, that was taking too long, took it to Midas, they said they couldn't do it cuz they risked burning the catalytic convertor if they torched it. any suggestions?this is coming out to be too long and tedious, worse comes to worse ill be buying the high flow cat from warpspeed and cutting the pipe

They were probably worried they'd burn a hole in the side of the cat with their torch. If they know what they are doing, that shouldn't be a problem.

Midas gave me the same crap. I took it down the road to a local shop and they fixed it in 5 minutes. Besides those bolts and the oxygen sensors (I had to by a special part to get them off) installing the y was a piece of cake. good luck
