custommaxima STS.....

just installed it, beautiful, very high quality shift rod and bushing, I have it adjusted half-way on the threading.....extremely short compared to the stock maxima shifter which makes me wonder what the shortest setting (bushing threaded at the top of the shift rod) would result in throw.../?!? anyone else try this great mod yet? awesome, what do you guys find most comfortable as far as the bushing setting goes?

one problem I did run into though is, this shifter seems to end up too far forward (towards the console/front of the car) even in neutral....when going into forward gates, such as 1, 3, or 5th, this shifter goes so far forward that it lightly bangs against the console trim/plastic surrounding the shifter in the cabin...anyone else have this issue with this STS? almost like they didn't incline/bend the shifter rod enough so it would hang further back in the cabin so that it wouldn't bang against the plastic console trim....

yo, I'm tellin u out of experience, that write up that gtr_rider just posted was done with my car, look in the Cons part and read the 1st Note. We tried it at the lowest and u really don't get enough leverage to shift, I had to force it in AND out of EVERY GEAR. I'm tellin u it's not worth it, 1/2 way and 2/3 up is where that pivoting ball seems to belong, so leave it there, lol. U can ask gtr_rider, on the way back to dropping him off, I was b*tching everytime I shifted. And don't think u can "get used to it", it's not gonna happen, lol.
