installed jwt. Just my thoughts and some questions for you guys

So I went down to the dealer today and did the ecu swap off a max that's trashed and was traded in. The deal was I did the swap and gave him 200 bucks. So I did and put my jwt ecu today and it's the ****. I love it. I can't believe how hard my car pulls. 3rd gear is like 2nd gear used to be. The hole revving into the redline thing scares me. The limiter is set at 7200. Any body know if that's bad for a car with out mevi. I don't take it up there really cause of course there is no power that high. But now I feel obligated to pick me up a mevi ahh the moding never stops. Thanks guys let me know what you think

There's no point in revving that high without the MEVI. With the stock intake manifold you're only making ~135fwhp or less above 6300rpms. The MEVI is making over 190fwhp above 6500rpms.

Yeah the JWT ECU really does make a great difference! I'm planning on installing the MEVI as soon as I have enough money. That's my next mod jeje

Hey yeah I love my ecu so so much. I just got it put in under my dash agin so my car looks good back to normal. My question is though I know there is no point in taking it up to 7200 with out mevi but when I do it say on acident or to show off will it hurt my car??? Thanks guys

When I saw your post I was surprised at the number you gave for the US manifold. Is the 135fwhp stock? Because at 6318 rpm with US manifold I'm still making 175fwhp?

Nope, that's with mods. Every USIM 4th gen dyno I've seen (including 3 of mine), show about 135-145fwhp at 6300rpms. You 175fwhp at 6300rpms is uncommon and if you really are making that much power at 6300rpms, I'd think your car would be significantly quicker and faster in the 1/4 mile.

You didn't dyno on a Dyna-Pak by chance?

I have not run a 1/4 mile since the dyno dont know how fast it is.

Yes I did dyno on a dynopak but what I keep saying about that is I dynoed in between about 15 350 z's One put down 228rwhp and most of the others stock 235rwhp . So that would mean they all have alot lower #'s also?!

It shouldn't be anymore harmful with MEVI than without. MEVI just increases airflow. When you rev your car that high you are talking about the pistons and valves working harder than they were meant to. I'm pretty sure I know what I'm talking about...someone chime in.

Basically it won't hurt anything...but like you said it'll be sorda pointless since you dont have enough power that high in the RPMs.

The main concern is valve float but I don't believe that becomes an issue till about 7400.
