Misfire And Backfire Now

Misfire And Backfire PLEASE HELP!!!!
I have a 1999 Maxima SE 5sd. The car has a little over 82000 miles. It has been misfiring lately and it does not show up under check engine light. A friend of mine told me to replace spark plugs which I did. And now the car has misfire and backfire (real loud too). Before I replaced the plugs this is what happened. I started the car up, drove it for a while with no problems. I turned it off for about an hour and start it up then the car felt like it was running on 4 or 5 cylinders, on low rpm's. When I replaced the plugs like I was told to, this time it misses on higher rpm's and it backfires real loud (Bosh Platinum plus 4). Before I replaced the plugs it kicked up a code "random misfire", whatever that would tell me. Now the computer is useless I guess, it does not show any codes. On top of all of this my oxygen sensor died. Do you think this is related to my original problem? This came up after the misfire was already going on. This misfire does not happen all the time, most of the time it happens when I really get on the gas pedal, how can you not? I am wondering if anybody had a similar problem that is driving me crazy. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Almost all 99s had bad ignition coils, wait until your ecu gives you a CEL to figure out which coil is bad. Also, those spark plugs are horrible:

Went to Nissan and got myself the NGK spark plugs, this will help with the backfire. I know this will not fix the misfire; I scheduled a diagnostics check for next week. I was told like you mentioned that 99's are known for bad coils.
Thank you again.
Thank you again.

DOn't let diller rip you off. You can easily check which coils are bad yourself!
With engine running, unplug coil one by one. If you unplug coil pack and hear that engine almost stalls - that is a good coil.
If you unplug coil and engine works the same - that is a bad one.
I had even worse, when injector did not work... took me a while to figure it out, after spending mucho dinares on another coils...

Thanks Vlad
I really hope its not the injectors. I will try your method before I buy anything else. Thanks.
