Ok I have to vent! I switch to Mobil on my last oil change, which was less than a month ago. Yesterday morning I started my car for the first time for the day, and for about a second it sounded like a truck
So I look under the car for leaks…. None, check the oil, it was almost half the Damm dipstick, and I know I placed 4 quarts when I did the oil change, so where all this oil came from I do not know. I was like (WTF) the oil was also black like if it has been in the car for 5 months! Does anyone have any idears what the hell is going on! Never had this problem when I was using the Cheap S**T. Thanks

could it be that the M1 kinda flushes your system out of the gunk?
maybe not...
how do you usually drain up your oil?
I did not have that problem when I did my switch....but I changed my oil every 3k with when I use dino oil...and let it drain for half an hour...and adding a quart of oil to sort of make the draining faster....

or do this for now...flush your engine with auto oil transmission....adding it to the oil you have now...
run the engine or drive the car for 15 minutes...then drain while hot
refill with M1
btw...do this at your own risk....
it might flush your system out of the junk in there....
good luck

I did let all the oil drain. So I'm confuse! what could have happen? The oil has been in there for about two thousand (miles) and some change not three yet!

Mobile 1 switch

I recently switched to Mobil 1 also and after 5k miles got it changed. I noticed that the oil is alot darker and dirtier than normal dino oil, kinda like yours SMX. May be the new M1 oil did loosen/absorbed up some gunk in the engine in its first life...gonna check on this at my next oil change. However the oil level stayed the same on mine...i did the switch at ~68k miles.
