At night just park your car on the street right behind a friend's car and leave your headlights on, then get in your friend's car and drive it slowly forward to see how other people feel when your car is behind them

I can't wait until I get tinted windows so those damn truck drivers can't blind me

HIDs in our 9004 housing are bright and annoying to others in traffic. Whenever I see a car with aftermarket HIDs coming towards me that have blinding lights, I just put on my highbeams and turn em off when they pass.

how much did you 5300k hid cost..i wont get anyhting more than 5500k..cause it gets bue after that..

open up your head ligths and black out some of the reflector AE style.. it will look clean and you'll stop getting flashed..just black out more than the normal front part.,.

I made the my glare shields using some thin sheets of aluminum that I had. ****Warning*****You will void your warranty (if any) if you do it the way I did.

I had to cut away some of the plastic that surrounded the 9004 base of the HID bulb with my trusty Dremel. I cut the aluminum to cover half of the bulb (trial and error) and curved it slightly. When it fit snug, I wedged it into the cut out that I had made in the base of the bulb. Make sure the alminum does NOT touch the bulb in any way and it is atleast 5mm from the bulb to allow air to circulate around the it.

This may not work for all bulbs if the base is not the same as mine. Also, this is probably not the only way it can be done. I did a lot of searching on www.hidforum.com for glare shields as well. Hope this helps and if I get some time, I will try to take some pictures of mine.

Yea if you could take pictures of the glare shield that would great. I have access to all the aluminum I need in many different thicknesses and grades so any advice on making them would be great, thanks.

Do you have pics of the Hi / Lo beam pattern? I have seen that the bulbs are shielded, but are the shields for beam pattern correction? or for the high beam?
