I posted in the 5th gen topic but am not gettin gmuch of a response. Maybe itll be better here. Someone there mentioned there is a 4th gen with pretty high FWHP #s.

Basicly I am looking for any info on the 5 or 6 speed manual tranny in the 4th/5th gen Maxima. Ratios/dimentions/bolt pattern etc. I am looking for a manual tranny for my 2000 Impala and and just need to know what my options are. I know it wont just bolt up. Maybe its pretty much imposible.. I have been told that before with other things I haev done but I have proved them all wrong ...
anyways... any help would be greatly appreciated.

go to the nissan dealer on Rt 7 near schenectady, ask the service guys if they can give you the info you need. thats probably your best bet
