Finally pulled the codes... Looks like my suspicions were correct, Knock Sensor..
After way too long driving around with the SES light on, I finally got outside and pulled the codes.. 03 04 .. just as I suspected. Guess I'll probably order a new KS from jerryromenissan since they are running a pretty good deal right now.
My question though... Since I'm not really confident enough to do this myself, nor do I have the proper tools, would it be a bad idea to just take the car to any old mechanic and have them do the installation?... I'm almost leaning towards taking the car to a dealer in this case, because it IS something that can be screwed up if not done properly. How many hours would they charge me for?...

installing KS is just the matter of patience and cutted hand. i see you have done a lot of basic bolt-ons. changing KS is just like that. it shouldn't be too hard if you follow motorvate's instruction and with the following tool:
1. 12mm socket + pivot socket + 9" extention
2. small hand
1. 12mm socket + pivot socket + 9" extention
2. small hand
proper tools are actually pretty common tools, check http://www.motorvate.ca/mvp.php/507 you can get the swivel 12mm at sears, the rest im sure you can borrow from soemoen just as i did.
So am I to understand that this Knock Sensor code ONLY indicates a bad knock sensor? I doesn't indicate that the engine is necessarily knocking?
So since I have this code too, just replacing the knock sensor should solve the problem, right? There is nothing else potentially wrong?
Thanks
Mike
