A few days ago i received my yellow star bulbs and put them in my 97 SE, and I was very disappointed. There was almost no yellow at all, and looked alot like the OEM bulbs. Anybody else feel this way? I know this has been asked before but does anybody know where I can get bulbs that shine out a deeper yellow, not a rainbow effect, but yellow.

I'm happy with my yellow stars

the factory fogs were just an off-white, while the Hellas are MUCH more yellow. Sorry to hear that you don't like them. I had PIAA superwhites that both burned out within 1 year, and they were much more expensive than the Hellas... sure they were brighter, but no yellow from those PIAAs.

Hellas H3 yellowstar

I had the H3 Yellowstars 85watt on my 96 Max for 3 months and one burnt out. The light was yellow though. I know have regular bulbs that run at 100 watts (really bright!!!). But I am planning on getting a set of Yellowstar H3 110watts.

...get the same deep yellow as on the Lexuses then sorry to disappoint. Hella Yellowstars put out the right amount of yellow to get the job done. to get a deeper yellow out of a bulb would require more tint...more tint means less light. The next time you drive out in the fog or snow, you'll notice the yellow. They don't look yellow when you stand in front of the car...but what does that matter? You don't stand in front of the car when you drive right?

My stock fog bulbs have lasted more than 5 years now. They are still working now. Last year I've put in some 85W ones. They don't last even a year. It seems like all the aftermarket bulbs suck in the durability area. Save your money and use your stock ones. They might not be as bright or as flashy as some of the aftermarket brands, but they work.

Because you bought the 55 watt if you want it to look more yellow you have to buy->

85 watt h3. The 55 watt hella looks more like a dirty white.
