burning clutch?

when you accelerate now, does it seem as stiff? does the clutch slip at all?

Smells like your clutch is slipping. Lots of clutch slippage will actually burn the clutch, along with warping the flywheel. I have completely fried clutches before because they began to wear out, and I ignored them. Dont accelerate hard until the problem can be fixed. Time to take her to the shop, you dont want to have to buy another flywheel.$$$$

And, you can get that nice, new clutch you have been wanting to get.

I have a similar problem

Hey, I've been smelling burning as well. I think mine may be coming simply from an antifreeze leak, or from an oil leak, but I'm not too sure. I have automatic, so I know its not a clutch issue. If anyone else has suggestions, let me know. Good luck with your car man.
