No money for spring break, enter cheap mod break...anyone else?
So my broke college student self cant afford going to cancoon. Instead Im stuck working the week off, but will make sure to get a few cheap mod's done to my car.
1. Rid door pillars of vinyl go stock paint color.
2. Change clock color finally
3. Wax my car first time after this winter
4. Maybe polish engine up
5. Rid mildew smell from vents, actuall this is #1 for me
6. Hard wire radar detector and neons
7. install reverse gauges and chrome gauge rings..
so anything else Im missing which dosnt cost much and will be a benefit?

And if I was actually stuck working the week, I'd save up, maybe work overtime or work elsewhere instead of wasting time on pointless mods. Then, I would get "real" mods that improve performance and looks, but in a more noticable way - changing the color of the clock is definitely not one of them!
Lastly, like some already here suggested, clearing your tails is no more than $25, provided you don't have a heat gun - best cheapest mod I've ever done.
Its mold growing on the AC parts inside the car after it gets all damp from the A/C. The solution is very easy. Get a can of lysol. Drop all your windows and sunroof. Turn the AC on "outside air". Turn the fan to "high". Empty the can thru the cowl intake (under the wipers). Get in the car and change the fan position settings thru all- defrost, high, low and bilevel. Next, take trip down interstate at high speed with heater on to help speed the smells like a hospital smell from vehicle. Problem solved.
Little help for the vent problem.

<---first time i remember using roll eyes, gold. if you don't have an intake, you can hack the stock intake. my latest thing is adding all these options my gxe didn't come with, they're usually relatively cheap, but i'm running out of those.
there are some great suggestions here, definately clean out your tb and give it a good wax. i hope to give my car some attention too on spring break, and put my summer wheels back on once i can afford to pay for an alignment after all other bill$. have fun!
