my remote trunk opener wont work...also the button on the door for the trunk doesnt work either....i can hear a thud sound coming from the back but i dunno what's wrong with it. does anyone know how to fix it?

 

try the key..if that doesnt work maybe the latch is broken...


now do you hear a sound with both the button and the remote? or is it just silence?

 

First use the master key to open the trunk. Check the little lever on the trunk hinge to see if you set it on lock by accident. This will prevent the power trunk to work. You can switch it back and it should let you use the remote again. Good thing to do if you leave car with valet or parking attendant.

 

uhmm.....where can i find this lock? i know the sound is coming from the right side of the trunk where the little control box is located. (little black box where some wires are connected?...am i just confusing everyone?)

 

oh and i hear the sound when i use both the button and the remote....but it doesnt open
