Didn't someone explain an easier way to do this? Like installing a different type of bulb? I tried the search already.

I used the 1156 bulb...no problems with it...didn't have to file it down either.

Man,

I've been having trouble getting the stupid clearance light out for the passed few months. Now that I have a Headlight harness and bright headlights, I'd like the clearance light to be slightly brighter.

You gotta be patient with it...after you spray WD40 on the ball and socket move it around a little. Then you just have to pull on the light from the bottom, and it should pop off.

That ball-and-socket device is EVIL!! EVIL!!

It takes time...and lots of patience to get it out!

I still haven't gotten it out yet...but I will..and when I do..that ball-and-socket is gonna DIE!

ok I'm done now.

Its called leverage. get a big long screwdriver, put it in between the ball and the socket and use leverage to pop it out. it is so easy this way.

I just used a flat headed screw driver, stuck it in between the balll and socket joint, and just turned, and out it came.
