I asked this question last week. The concensus of the board and two different dealerships was: No. The 2000 Maxima's have a slightly different engine and different ignition coils. That's why the part number on the coils change from 99 to 00.

I used the 2000 coil in a 99 max, and the SES light did go out. I still get a high pitched noise when I got over 3500 RPM but I think that is because my Y Pipe has a leak. SES Light never came on.. I ordered a rear bank coil for my 99 max, and found out I needed the front bank one, so I have an extra rear bank coil and willing to sell for around 45 bucks + shipping, let me know.

If you have already have them, why not just swap them in and find out for yourself? Then you can tell us whether or not they fit.

Yeah, let us know. I could have picked up a set of 2000 coils for $90 instead of the 99's I got for $240. Oh well, it's still hella cheaper than the $800 the dealer quoted me...

Like Stephen Max said ,since you have them already, swap them. It should only taka a few minutes. Then let us know what happens.
