Third Battery in 6 months!?!?!? Help

I got home late last night from a 3 day trip from school.
long story short, one of our buses broke down for the second time and we were all sitting 3 to a seat Not to mention the rest of the terrible day I had.
My keys happened to be in the other bus with all my luggage so I called my mom to bring my spare.

When she got there, my car was totally dead. trunk wouldn't even pop. luckilly she had cables in her car.
jumped it and made it home.

I thought I'd try it the next mourn but it was even more dead (small lights were real dim) so I had the privalige to drive the 92 GMC safari to school (for sale if ur interested)

After school I went home and charged it up (no lights were on at all)and made it to batteries Plus.
They said that it was bad and even gave me a better one(the light truck/ suv)
i had a car/suv.
not sure if this would help. this is my 3rd one in 6 months!!!
he said it could be my:
started (5-6 months old)
Altinator (after the 5 mile drive home last night it started perfect)
Other short somewhere

I dont want to pay to get it checked cus I have a 1 year full warentee plus a 2 year pro-rated. so i can just keep getting new ones.

Any I deas on what it could be???

Also after all that I found out someone hit my car with there hand and put a nice 5in (across) dent in it, he tried to deny it but I have to get an estimate and talk to him again I think/hope he might pay

What a SH!TTY FEW DAYS!!!!!

I think the alt is recharging the bat fine.
Once its started and runs for a few miles it starts perfect. If the altinator goes, and the battery dies the car shouldn't run at all correct?
that would be my logic at least (and thats what happen to my parents car awhile back)
please correct me if im wrong
anyone else???

Ok you say that the car ran fine after you jumped started it? And aftewards the car turned on? It might just be you left a light on in the car, or theres a short. I know I had a short on my car a few months back, and I could leave the car sitting for about a day with out turning it on and it have a hard time starting depending the tempeture. But if I turn it on like twice a day it be ok. If its your alternator, the car would just die on you after the car has drained out the battery. Thats why I say its not your alternator. But you could just go and get it tested that way you know for sure.
