maxima.org says that nismos14 does not exist. Do you or anyone have his car domain name?

I don't know maybe he thinks that if ks is going to pick up less knock his car is going to go faster. I think there isn't any benefit in doing this, even if the ECU is going to advance the timing it's not going to be too good for him if the engine will start knocking

i did nismo14's relocation #1 couple weeks ago with my new knock. so far i got a lot better gas mileage (350+mi/tank, 23mi/gallon, 50/50 local & hwy driving), and the car accelerate without too much hesitation. i know it's not the best spot for KS cuz it'll cause denotation, but so far it works, and i can live with it.

the only benefit i can think of is "not getting your hand cut again".

Well while taking out the knock sensor the threads were shreaded... so locating was a solution... but I've got it taken care of... thanks everybody.

Why not just bypass the knock sensor altogether? I think there was a thing in the FAQ to bypass it with 470k resistor. If you move the KS to the firewall, it becomes useless at detecting knock anyways. It'd give the same effect, for a much lower cost than replacing and relocating the sensor.

i did it, and i just recently had my knock sensor put in the stock location. as well as having the knock sensor harness replaced. it drives a bit better now but if i do say so myself the relocation did work well. i would still recommend it to people who have trouble getting their KS out
