For those of you who have used it, you know what I am talking about. For those who have not, try it. MOTHER'S CLAY BAR. This thing is great. It makes the car soooo smooth and clean. It is great for the front and rear bumpers. They seam to collect a lot of road crap (bugs, tar, etc...). Also, one guy had a thread about cleaning the headlights. It works great for that also. I cleaned the hell out of my headlights and there were still bug marks on them. After I used the clay, they were gone. I know it isn't cheap, but a small amount goes a long way and the results are worth it ($20.00). Does anyone know of any harm from this? I used it on my 240sx once a year for about 3 years and didn't see anything wrong.

Hi
I used the meguiars overspray clay a few years ago when a cloud of paint descended on our parking lot here at work. They were painting an apartment complex on a windy day!
The clay saved my finish. Other people took their cars to body shops, etc. where they did all kinds of terrible things like wet sanding and abrasive cleaners. The clay just lifts the paint (bugs, etc) right off the surface as opposed to grinding it off with good clear coat at the same time.

Re: Mother's Clay Bar
Everyone:
Just be sure to use plenty of the "lubricant" with these clay bars. Keep a clean 100% cotton terry towel to catch the drips and wipe the surface off when you have completed a section. Do one small section at a time: spray, clay, wipe. As someone else said, finish with a pure polish (no abrasives) and a wax. I use Meguiars #7 followed by #26. Let us know how it turns out.
