Led lights problem

I just put some super white leds in my rear turn signals and they look sweet. But now they blink really fast (rear and front turn signals), what's with that?

I am not really sure of a reason in terms of car electrics, but you need to add 6kOhm resistor paralel to make them blink at standard rate.

edit: 6 Ohm, not 6 kOhm, well just as link below says....

The reason? The LED's consume much less power than a standard light bulb

Thx guys but will putting the resistors on the rear also fix the front signals as I'm planning on getting led's for the front too.
