Help - '95 w/ 190,000

Hi,

Need some help. Was just given a '95 with 190,000 miles on it. I have a vibration at the steering wheel - getting the wheels balanced and an alignment on tuesday.

Main question is the car has always been run on regular gas - 87. Any ideas or recommendations on what maintenance the engine might need.

Except for the slight vibration at the steering wheel the car is clean and mechanically fine.

thanx in advance

switch right over to 93 or 91 (whatever is sold in your area) our engine ran on 87 for the life of the car is not a good thing...

read the FAQs and follow the standard maintenance... change all fluids...

fuel filter, sparks, motor oil, tranny oil, coolant change, etc.

recommended are ngk platinum plugs PFR5G-11, those are pretty expensive so you can substitute them with ngk v-power coppers BKR5E-11, someone correct me if im wrong, read the stickies (they are in red on top of the forum when you first click on 4th generation maximas), you may also want to clean the throttle body and run some chevron techron through the fuel system.
