Fog Lights

BLAH so I went to replace my fog light bulbs because the old ones had burnt out. When I get down there and finally get the black peice off, I discover that all the bolts down there were rusted. SO i went to the dealership, and they gave me new ones for free. When I went to replace them, discovered that the rest of the rusted bolts were stuck in the bolt holes...so now my max is sitting in the garage with the fog lights hanging out, and I don't know what to do. I can't take the metal harness off because those bolts are rusted too...should I take it to the dealer and have them replace the fogs?

wow..that sucks..take a drill 1 size smaller than the diameter of the bolt and try to drill it out?..

or drill some new holes..get some high quality long zip ties and zip tie that piece on.. bumper covers it so it can be as messy as u want and no one will see. as long as it holds right?

good luck.

Drilling the new holes is a good idea.

I would try to get some rust penetrating spray from AutoZone. It usually loosens the bolts a little. I have had similar problems.
