I just ordered a whole bunch of Stuff!!

I just ordered Slotted Rotors all four, new brake pads, a Stillen B Pipe, Stillen SS rear section muffler, MM EVo 5's 18's, Kumho Ecsta Tires, Aluminum Dash Kit, New Grounding Kit can't wait to get it all in. The brakes and rotors will be installed by Tom at Proline, I'm still trying to figure out who will install the Catback, and the rims and alignment will also be done by Tom. Wish me luck!!!

i got mine from tirerack.com
they have nice speedy delivery.

i also flushed my brake fluid and replaced with synthetic.

Good luck with the mods. Sounds like she'll be a brand new lady.

But it sounds like everyone is getting the same rims; why is that?

I agree... they look pretty decent Another good looker is the Moda R6's The catback you can do yourself, or have tom do .. its pretty easy. Just unbolt a few pieces, and take it off of the hangers... But it sucks working on your back... a lift is much easier... gl

Save yourseld some money and do the brakes yourself. It's a 40 minute job, total. A shop will screw you on labor. Believe me, pads take about 5 minutes a side and replacing a rotor takes maybe 5 minutes. Most of the time is spent jacking up the car and removing the rim.

I would have used the money to get a supercharger for my max. That would be a good idea. Then you would be wasting anyone on the road. Who cares about rims, if you are winning.

And who cares about a POS looking car even if you are winning? If you dont have the suspension and handling modifications, supercharger will just get you close to death :-)

I understand, but for the $150 the shop is going to charge you for the brake install and the $150 they'll charge you for the B-pipe and ground kit install, you could have purchased:

1) 10mm-19mm socket set and rachet ($50)
2) two 2-ton hydraulic jacks and jack stands ($100)
3) Chilton's manual ($18)
4) various screw driver set ($25)
5) 2 socket extensions ($15)
6) set of open-ended 10mm-18mm wrenchs ($40)
7) dead blow hammer ($15)
8) decent shop light ($20)

...and done the work yourself and had new tools. The Maxima is an extremely easy car to work on. It's also a great car to learn on.

Just go to sears and get your self a $150 tool kit. It comes with pretty much everything you need to work on your max
minus the jacks, jack stands, hammer, and light. Well maybe not the light, some kits have them
