replacement brakes?

My brakes are squeking incessantly when I brake. I need new ones, but i came here to consult the pros. I don't race at the track or anything like that, i just need some for the daily driver. Also i'd like them to look good so when i get the money for rims, I can paint the calipers and show them off. I dont really know ANYTHING about my brakes nor what to replace them with, just looking for suggestions, before i go to the shop.

Are you just talking about pads or something else?

I just installed some brakes on my 96 GXE. I went to your local ORiellys, or AutoZone, or Advanced Auto.

Anyhoo Pay the extra money for "ceramic" brakes, they will help with noise reduction. Also get some molly lube or some other brake lube. Get the book it helps a little bit or just read the instructions.

If you install new rotors I suggest getting some liquid wrench to make it easier to remove bolts.
