Brake pads?

I have brembo blanks on my wifes 99 se with porterfield pads. I had nissan install them last year about 10,000miles ago.

The problem is they squeak. They have been since day one, it was very lite in the very begining and the tech stated that the pads are made that way. I think he was BSing me.

My question is what are the best pads out there? I want something quite.

2nd question - My front rotors feel a little ruff, should they be surfaced?

Last ?- Is it possible Nissan installed them wrong? I am trying to figure out why I am have issues with less tham 10,000 miles.

thanks for reading.

Hard to mis-install brakes. Well atleast it would seem. You should get some "Ceramic" brakes with some lube and that will quiet your braking. As for the rotars you should have them checked when you have the brakes done. Most people wont install brakes now adays without turning the rotors anywayz.

Also if you plan to do it yourself some auto stores will turn them for a low price.

Ben and I will tell you to go with Performance Friction Carbon Metallic pads. You can get them from Autozone and you get replacements for free.

did the squeak sound like the pads where eating the rotors?

did you have to resurface them?
