Wiring Diagram Question

Does anybody know what a dashed outlined box with the title 'J/C' would stand for in a Haynes Manual wiring diagram? I believe it is a fuse or relay of some sort but I'm not sure.

looks to me like it is just a junction box, on some of the pages its a splitter others it just connects 2 of the same wires together
