I need to replace cracked lens covers on the RHS of my 1995. I got the 4 bolts off but I can't get the GD assembly out. Do I need to pop out the black case "thing" inside in order to remove it?

Your ideas are appreciated.

 

try to use a phillip flat screwdriver to assist you. even though there's a lot of black glue (aka the nasty stuff on it), but you just gotta pull like a **** until it pops out. if you are still having difficulty, spray some WD40 over the black rubber crap and hopefully that'll help you to pull it out.

 

After removing the 4 bolts, push REAL hard. It will come loose. The light is held on with that black, sticky silicone.

 

Using screw driver to assist is not a good idea, you may crack the lense, well it's cracked already...
