Exhaust from hell...

Ok well after having a rough time installing my y pipe last weekend (with thanks to justin), and having everything great, the rest of my exhaust decides to crap out on me. I have a hole in my muffler from massive rust, the b pipe fell off the hangers (possibly from the extra stress of they y-pipe) and broke a rear gasket. This sounds like reason enough to buy a whole catback

I was wondering what you all thought sounds good, looks good, and adds decent power in the catback category for about 250-400$. Or if i should get a budget/warpspeed b pipe and find a decent muffler. Thx!!

Simplest solution is Budget B-pipe and stock or 2000 Maxima muffler = quiet and more power, plus it's a for sure bet since it'll sound almost the same, no chances youll hate it.

or...

full catback, I heard OBX is decent and cheap

or...

you could get creative

dual exhaust kind of setup......

2.25" piping all the way to right behind the rear axle, then it splits off and goes to 2 mufflers. You can see the crushed in wheel well on the driver's side to fit the pipe.

I'll let you know in about a week, just ordered my warpspeed y-pipe no y-pipe has good sound though, nice low tone. Added good power for just a minor mod

i had a APex WS catback before my y pipe and the exhuast was def. quiet w/o the y pipe. seriously you really didn't hear the exhaust at all, it was mostly the engine and intake. then i got the y pipe and the exhaust note was finally there. its nice and deep, not quite at deep as the greddy, but i find the apex to sound really raw, and deep. I LOVE IT!!!

best of luck,

dave
