the S13, S14, S14, Z32 and R32-34 had the same floorpan, which have a large bump under the driver's seat, this made it so they had to have funny seats, with funny rails and seat bottoms. i doubt you will be able to use these, unless you did what he did, where you save the stock maxima rails and seat support and bolt on the top part. since the seats are definetly different, there is a chance even the seat back and seat cushion wont fit.

Thats Good.. A friend of mine has some tan leather G35 coupe seats.... I want to swap those into my max... I guess if the 350z will fit, the G35 Coup should also fit...

Did they bolt straight up??? And are they heavier than the stock Maxima seats??

If you really want the seats to match, you could try finding a company that makes aftermarket seat covers (cloth or leather) for both 4th gen maximas and 350z's. Then you could order the fronts from a 350 and the rears from the maxima in the same color, and hypothetically they would be made using that same material.

Have fun forking out $$$$ for that one.
I had 300ZX seats in my car for a while, and tried to have them redone with Katskinz or something... ouch.. about $1500 for it because they'll only take a bit of $$ of the price for the rear Max seat only, and charge you full price for the front Z seats.. so you would be better off buying both kits and selling the extras off.

Either case it's still ridiculously expensive.

Sooo, I just bought some corbeau seats and did away with the matching looks.. I'm going to have the rear seat redone in matching cloth locally instead of trying to do everything with leather. save myself about $1500 doing it that way, and the corbeau seats are lighter and more comfortable than the 300ZX seats I had in there.

There is a homelink page. He didn't post pictures though. Just wait for it to load and click on it.

Those seats look pretty good. I like the way the stockies look better, but that is just my opinion.

Just to answer a couple of questions:

looks sweet as hell, did u intall it yourself, what modifications were needed to have them drop in
I pretty much put it the best I could in the original post; let me know if you have any specific questions. I'll be happy to help anyone who would like to do something similar. It seems like there might be a lot of interest.

you got a great deal on those 350Z seats $300 shipped is an awesome deal!!!!!!!!!! Seats are usually expensive to ship, the guy probably works for a shipping co.
I think I just got lucky. The auction listed shipping at $60. I guess there weren't a lot of people looking for these yet; the bidding ended at about $240.

Man, is the power connection for the sets really easy to hook up too? Oh and is there a weight difference the 2 seats?
I guess the title of this thread is slightly misleading; it should be along the lines of "Max seats modded with 350Z cushion and seatback." Since I kept the stock power adjustments, there wasn't an issue. If you were to swap the entire seat, it would work like mzmtg said, there would only be a power and a ground wire to hook up. The only problem I can think of in using the entire seat would be the seatbelt. I believe the female part on the 350Z seat is too narrow. You'd have to maybe swap that part out. As far as the weight of stock 350Z seat vs. stock Maxima seat, I'm not sure. Both put a strain on my back moving them around a lot, but I'd of course guess the 350Z seats are lighter given the nature of the car.

Nice looking seats, make sure you keep them in the nissan family though
I definitely wanted to keep a Nissan feel to it, but since I was mainly looking for comfort, I would have been happy with, heaven forbid, a domestic seat to use.

Wisky97SE, thats the stance of your Max with the prokits? Was that under braking? I thought the prokits made the car sat more level?
If they look like your car, I am going to get a set!

they look nice, but most people are missing the point, they support you better when you're carving out corners.

Nice job man! Those look PIMP. You should definitely think about recovering the rear seats because the front looks so clean already! If the rear seats matched it would look like the car came with those seats. In the pics it already looks like that...

They didn't make a tan interior for the Z did they?

What is that, jerry-curl juice on the headrest? Or just an optical illusion? Regardless, they look damn good.

Heh, yeah, my greasy head left that on the headrest. I clean it more often now, even though I think the flash of the camera made it more visible! I haven't checked to see what recovering would cost yet. I might just get a used black leather back seat for a while.
