so basically i want to do this right the first time. my max is 96 beige.
goal = tinting the tails with leds in them. i was wondering for those that know, do i need to get red/clears before tinting or will the orange show thru the tint after if i use the stock tails? I'm probably gonna make them pretty dark.
also, did anyone take apart the new diamond red/clears to see if LEDs would fit there?

 

If you tint the tails, it will look black until the light turns on, then it will shine through orange. Either red out the orange first, which is what I did when I tinted mine, or get red/clears. The new red/clears from CM would be perfect for tinting since they are ugly as ****.

 

how many LEDs of each color will i need?
right now im guessing ~300 reds and 100 orange? and should i just stick with a bulb for the reverse lights? or get some white leds as well?
